I am down to these two for a new polymer 9mm. Any input from the peanut gallery would be appreciated. Thoughts?

Does anyone know how the grip dimensions of a G19 compare to a G17? Is the trigger reach the same?

I think the biggest difference in the grips of the G17 and 19 is the length of the grip, so if the 17 grip is the perfect length for your hand, you may want to skip the 19. I have medium or small hands and I find that the compact guns tend to have a grip exactly the right length, any longer might not be used for gripping the gun, any shorter and it would feel odd. I've never seen or handled a 2022 before.

I voted for the Glock 17 simply because it is my favorite pistol for CCW "bar none".

If you like the SP2022 because of the feel and the trigger why waste time worrying about what others think you oughta get?

Go with what pleases you and don't sweat what others are doing or carrying.

The grip dimensions and trigger span/reach of the 17 and the 19 are the exactly the same.

G17 = Honda Accord

SP2022 = BMW 5-series

-T.

EDIT: I have a G21c. It's the same size as a G17. If you want I can post pics of the two side by side. Let me know. I like to think I take pretty good pics. ;)

I have both and they are different animals, I agree with the honda/bmw comparison.

The sig is a bit top heavy and has a more solid feel, the slide is stainless and you have grip options. Also in 9mm the sig has more felt recoil to me(in 40 my 2022 has less snap than a G22, go figure).

The sig has the best DA trigger of any stock auto I have ever shot.

The glock seems to have less character but its a glock and they cant be beat for simplicity and reliability.

Neither gun has ever jammed and both are more accurate than me.

I have the 2022 in 357 sig and bought a 40 and 9mm barrel.

Go with what ever fits your hand best, whether it be glock, or sig. They are both good, quality pistols that shoot real well. Just let us know which one you get, and how well you like it.:)

There's just something about a SiGPro, it's hard to define, but it's the first handgun I would grab given a choice.
