Has anyone ran across speedloaders for a Taurus "Tracker" 5-shot in .41 mag? I have not been able to find one in any of my numerous catalogs or at any of the local (Phoenix-Tucson) gun shows. I love my Tracker and really like the .41 caliber. I hunt with a Thompson Center Contender in the .41 caliber. But to the problem at hand........Is there a speedloader for the Tracker?

Check out "Maxfire" Midway USA still carries them, I think. I am not sure about the Tracker model, I have the Taurus model 415. That is a five shot .41mag in what Taurus calls a compact frame. These are the only speedloaders I have found for the 415 and they are in my opinion just a little better than nothing. The shells will fall out too easily and they are awkward to load with. Jim.

commanche,

I carried the 415 for about a year and was never able to find a speedloader for that 5 shot 41 mag. I will tell you that the Maxfire is notorious for bending the crane on a revolver, because you are pulling the speedloader sideways, against the cylinder to extract the cartridges from the unit.

you might try the HKS for a 44 special charter arms they work for 44 tracker and may hold 41 since 41= .410 and 44=.429 not much difference may be able to modify also.

Tell me about the Tracker in 41Mag. I have always wondered about it. It is a good looking gun, and I have had good luck with the other Tracker that I owned (7 shot 4" .357mag). I have never shot one or talked to anyone who has. If you would be so kind, could you give me a "range report" and what you like and don't like about it.

Thanks,

Fred

P.S. I didn't mean to hy-jack your thread... but I couldn't resist.:D

I have had my Tracker in 41 for a little over a year now. It is a fine gun! I also own the Tracker in .17 caliber, also a good investment in my opinion.

I hunt with the .41 and am very impressed with the caliber. Not sure why it never caught on. It will do anything a .44 will and depending on load has less recoil. The Tracker is my constant companion in the White Mountains of Arizona where we have an abundance of Black Bear and Mountain Lion. I generally carry Federal 210 gr. Hi-shok and can consistently shoot a 3 inch group at 50 yds. With the Tracker being ported it is not bad in recoil and I like Taurus's grips.

I also have two other pistols in .41. An old style Ruger Blackhawk with 7 inch barrel and a Thompson Center Contender with a 14 inch barrel that with a 240 grain Hornady broke the front shoulder of a cow elk last year. Mighty fine eating that was!

The 41 is a great caliber! If you get a chance, go to leverguns.com and read Paca Kelly's articles on it. I shoot the 275gr casted over 16ish grains of Blue Dot load he talked about! Wicked! It was over kill, but my 4 5/8" Blackhawk grouped the best with it, well with three round groups! I lost feeling in my hands after that! I got rid of that weapon, never really grouped with anything well. A gunsmith in AK bought it and he still can't get it to group! I've got an older 6" now and won't trade it for anything.

It been stated before, their are alot of 44mag shooter but more 41mag believers!

Happened to be looking through a 35 or so old Cartridge book the other day and they were comparing the 357, 41 and 44. the 41 had more penetration that either of the other. It is also sad that the factory loads listed then are not available now. velocities of the 41 list were impressive, but then all you fellow 41 Mag fans that reload already know that huh.

Taurus Tracker 41 mag

This post might be moving away from the main topic, but I have been looking for a NEW Taurus Titanium Tracker in 41 Mag. I am trying to get one for a guy and he has shot several of them and wants one real bad! I know they are not in Taurus's new Cat., but it seems like some people still have them in stock.
If anybody that reads this, I would appreciate a PM or e-mail to let me know where I might find one! The Beretta 92 I have listed in the trading post is being sold to buy a Titanium Tracker.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
Ken:)

Got some Hogue rubber grips orderd for this gun, the speed loaders would be a welcome addition.

Loder Crane

Hi,
HMF products have the reputation of being one of the most durable and reliable brands in the market. I browsed a site about the lorry crane and loader crane. They are offering in different sizes and models. You can get more information from www.hmf-crane.co.uk.
