Does anyone here have or has shot a Taurus Tracker .41 Mag in SS at 35 oz.? I have a 6 inch S&W M57 but would like a 4 inch .41 Mag. The .41 Mag. is very scarce around here. The price on the Taurus looks good, but don't know about the recoil on the lighter frame. The S&W 357PD is priced alittle out of my reach, and the 27 oz. might not be fun with a full day at the range. I am hooked on the .41 Mag, even though my wife doesn't understand the need/want of another caliber fever.

I had the Ti version that weighed 24oz I believe. The recoil was snappy with factory loads and max handloads but I had no problems with it. The ribber grips and porting do a fine job in taming it down. I found a 357 steel framed S&W snubby to kick harder.

I shot the lightweight version a couple years ago.
A buddy owned it and stoked it with his own reloads.
Recoil was brisk but not that bad.
I would think the steel gun would be recoil a bit less.

I've got it in SS and it is a good shooter. Since it is ported, recoil is not that bad. For light loads, it is great.
