I've been looking for an alternative to the rubber loading tubes offered by Dixie gun works as they are constantly out of stock. Something to hold a ball/bullet and powder charge for my ROA so I don't have to faff around with powder flasks. Thoughts anyone?

Not water proof but use a short length of 1/2 inch pvc piping, glue cap on one end and rough up other end for a friction fit.

Here,

Try these, they are $10.00/100, so they are cheap as hell at 10 cents each, which includes the watertight cap. They come in various sizes. This size is the small size, about 8mm across and holding about 25 grains of powder. But they come larger, and, you can also pick up divided soft plastic containers with lids, about like tupperware, pretty cheap from the same outfit.

you can always make your own. poorly or crudely or as fancy as you want.

nothing is stopping you from making a bunh of apostleschargers if you want. handgun size was normal for mounted horsemen in the 15 and 1600s in hungarian regions.
you can do wood, metal if you want. but heavily spray shellacked paper will work good.
think like the little paper tubes some companies sell pencil lead for mechanical drafting pencils in.

Or get some Zig-Zags & roll your own! (paper cartridges, that is)

arcticap,

That's what I was looking for, now lets see if they ship to the UK.

I have rolled my own, but I've not found a good enough way of transporting them to the range without them "leaking" enroute.
