So I got my Speedfeed IV PG stock from www.arizonagunrunners.com for $64 delivered. First problem: I though I bought a stock and forend, but I only got the stock. So now I have to hunt down a synthetic forend for it. Back to the stock.... I put it on my remington 870 Police Magnum (20" IC barrel, 7 shot extended tube, rifle sights, formerly wood furniture) and shouldered it. The LOP is perfect for me ( I got the standard LOP, not the tactical shorty one) but the pistol grip feels like a 2x4. It will really take some practice to get used to this thing. Also my trigger finger contacts the trigger on the first joint of my finger instead of the pad farthest from my hand. I have to curl my trigger finger around just to get it to contact the trigger the right way. The safety is nearly impossible to get at, I need to turn the weapon on it's side to turn it on with my thumb, and do the goofey finger curl to switch it off.

My overall impression is that this is not that great of a design. It sure looks cool, but it feels uncomfortable on every part of my hand when I shoulder it. Maybe my opinion will change after shooting it a bit, otherwise I'll have it up for sale shortly....

Except for being too long, I don't have any issues with mine. I am waiting on the new Knoxx though, and will probably switch to that.

"It sure looks cool..."

Cool is as cool does. ANYTHING that interferes with a shotgun's natural pointability is a harm not a help no matter how good it looks. Form follows function and shotguns evolved over centuries of use to point naturally. It's best to go with the flow.

Thanks for sharing the story, hope you either find it more comfortable over time or it sells quickly if you decide to let it go.

lpl/nc (the one I bought from Choate many years ago sold quickly too)

The only issue I have with mine is the reach to the trigger is too long, and I dont like the feel of the PG either. It would be a lot better IMO if the PG was moved forward about 1/2 an inch.
