speer 45 LC shot capsules in 45 ACP?

i only see shot capsules for 45 LC and not the ACP, i dont have equiptment to turn a .308 or 30/06 down to a long acp for shot, (thanks anyhow rcmodel)

can the long capsules be used an a auto and do they work well?

I tried them in a 1911A1 several years ago and was able to shoot handloaded shot capsules but not successfully. First of all I had to seat the capsules as deep as possible to chamber them, they would not feed from the magazine with splitting and dumping shot in the pistol's innards and finally they would not cycle the action or eject. These shot capsules were fired in a GI 1911A1 that had with many rounds fired through it. A tight match type barrel may not allow you to chamber at all or be to short. The only way I could load and carry was to load the the shot cartridge manually and gently drop the slide...effectively a single shot autoloader. Not good!

i made some light 140 grain ball loads and i essentially had to do the same, except mine fed from the mag, just not auto, gotta rack the for every shot.........just like in the moovies LOL!!!


welll shot cups are on backorder.... so i got time to make something fun to try without em

They work fine in a 625 (revolver) not so well in a bottom feeder though.
