I shoot a lot of Rem golden bullets out of my .22 conversion kit for my Glock 17. I have to because it's the only bulk ammo it likes, not that I'm complaining because its normally good ammo and well priced. But recently I have gone through half a pack of a 550 box and had 3 split cases! I am so glad nothing has gotten damaged. Everytime I notice what feels like a weak cartridge it ends up being a split case.
Has anyone else had an experience like this? Is this at all common? I've never seen this before in any .22 ammunition. Maybe I just got a bad batch. But I'm seriously considering not using the golden bullets because I don't want my precious frame to get damaged. What should I do? I'll upload the images as soon as I charge the batteries for my camera.
