Sporterized Lee Enfield Value?

The more affluent Dominions ordered rifles directly from BSA rather than beg them from the British War Office. It would have been in the usual military configuration.
I'm guessing this one is in the L- or M- prefix serial range.

Thats hilarious. I never thought of that. Just did a google image search and sure enough.

Thank you for all the responses and history on this firearm. The bore is nice and clean and the riffling sharp. Her father was a gun smith and he thoroughly went through the gun in anticipation of his daughter using it for hunting.

Im going to buy from her but not restore it. I just like it how it is. And now I have an excuse to still buy another Lee Enfield. Hopefully I can find a nice MkIII.
