A while back I fished around for some info on the Sportholster and nobody knew anything about them. I figured I would not loose much if I went ahead a got one to test it out. So here is my review, for what it's worth.
It's your basic bellyband holster designed to carry SOB or you can flip it around an carry it cross draw. The holster is made of a thick elastic foam rubber type material that is real comfortable. I noticed no riding up or shifting with this bellyband, but your milage may vary. I think that this bellyband would conform to a lot of different body types and would be comfortable to use in defferent ways for different people. For me I found that the worked best has SOB carry.
I tried it up under my arm which felt a little odd. I also tried it cross draw down lower and though comfortable it printed something terrible.
To draw your weapon wearing it SOB you turn your hand palm out and use your thumb to break the velcro seal and grab pistol grip. Fairly easy and fast once you do it a couple of times.
For me this holster has been ideal for mowing the grass, bike riding, and walking around. It's not so good if I'm going to do a lot of setting or bending over because it print real bad when I bend over, though squating is doesn't print that bad. I have done a little runnign in it and the gun does bounce some, but stays secure. I think if a person used a lighter gun than my Steyr M40 one could comfortable jog with it.
Sweating not that bad it does'nt seem to get to the gun very quick. The sweating issue may be a more personal thing bcause I use to have to wear a back support at my job 10 hours a day in 100 degee weather so I'm kind of use to it.
Over all it's not a bad band for the $32 I spent on it. If someone was very good with a sewing machine they could easly make thier own.
