Sportsmens Warehouse

We just had 2 stores open in the Las Vegas area. The north store had only been open since a week before Christmas. I am truly heartsick. The store was only about 4 miles from my house and was wonderful. The employees were courteous and there was a 5% discount for active duty military.

It looks like it's back to group buys online or gunshows for powder and primers. We still have a Bass Pro shop here, but there prices are not good and it's a long way for me to drive.

Gift card resolution

Hi everyone,

We have reached a resolution with Sportsman's Warehouse regarding the gift card issue.

We will be accepting Sportsman's Warehouse gift cards until March 31. After that date, we will no longer be able to redeem the gift cards at the 15 locations purchased by UFA.

We're sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused you and we thank you for your patience while awaiting this resolution.

If you have questions, please post them. It may take me a while to get the answers, but I will do my best to get them.

Thanks again,

Mark

also...

Oh, I should also note that we are currently notifying store managers of the resolution. It may take a couple hours for the information to filter down. I recommend you call your local store to make sure they have received the news before you drive down.

Well, I stopped at the Federal Way and Lacy SW and the shelves were even more dusty than they already were! What gives Mark? Are there trucks on the way?

Sportsman's Warehouse is a waste of time if you plan to buy anything gun related. You are much better off to try Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop if you want any thing in stock.

When they had stock, they were generally the cheapest guys around. Sadly, they seemed to have issues keeping stock, and their store contraction is the net result.

It's a shame, the sportsmans warehouse here just opened. It was open for a whole 2 or 3 months before the "going out of business" signs popped up. Its been "going out of business" longer than it had been in business. Everything is 30 - 40% off and of course, anything thats anything is gone. All the shot, primers, hulls, powder, ammo, etc. The only thing they havent marked down was, of course, the guns. The shotgun shells were only marked down 5 - 10%.

They were even selling the shopping carts.

I stopped by the store in Round Rock TX yesterday. Really disorganized. Says everything but guns and ammo is 40%-60% off. But that's not the case. Holsters are 30%. Some shooting rests are tagged 10% off. A lot of stuff has no indication what the % off might be. So you have to wait in the checkout line for a price check.

Guns were 10% off. But they only had a few long guns & one Taurus Raging Bull in 454.

There were a few things I'd have liked to buy. But they were items that were still not that much discounted. So I passed on it all.

They did have two huge bronze statues out front. One is still there, but the other is gone. The one that's gone had a tag on it earlier in the week that had it priced at ( If I remember correctly ) $27,000+10% buyer's premium. YIKES:what:
