for 230RN aka Terry aka Colorado

Terry230RN, I understand your consternation, though I think the consensus here has been arrived at by a general look at SW's status.

To find my place -
1. Turn right on your street (Happy Lane) (2.3 mi)
2. Bear left past the moose, bighorn, elk, and drunk driver (1051 mi)
3. Continue until sign for ":) WTBguns10kok's house :)" (411 mi.)
4. Arrive at destination with pizza (please).

My mom works for SW. She said that the Canadian buyout hasn't become finalized yet. There was a lot of hope a couple of months ago that things were going to look up and suppliers were going to get paid. So far it hasn't happened yet.

It's a shame. The one near me was awesome up until about a year ago, then the empty shelf syndrome took hold. I heard the same thing too, it had to do with the buyout and distribution problems.
I can't tell you how many boxes of Q3131 5.56 I bought for $5/box from them until supply went dry and prices went up. Now all they're good for is the odd Weatherby Magnum factory box ammo for $50/box because that's all they have.
They do have a pretty good gun selection and I've bought pistols and rifles from them in the last year.
I hope they get it straightened out.

I don't want the one in my home town to close but I could care less if it did. The only thing I purchased from them was reloading supplies and they have none because they are on COD only with all there suppliers.
I could see them going tits up because of the way they do business. I tried to get them to get me a $700 re loader they were out of from another one of there stores and the mgr. said we will call you when it gets here. Guess what, they never ever called me back. Terrible way to do business with terrible employees. In my eyes they get what they deserve.

They used to be good and had a good supply of everything - now there is nothing on the shelves - unless you fish or need clothes. Other than that - nada. Hell - not even a bottle of brass polish :(

I just went to the SW in Salem today, and it was a real shock. The wall of handguns was almost completely empty, ditto the supply of quality JHP ammo. The only handgun ammo they had was .45 ball, some 10mm and .44 Magnum. The selection of holsters was also rather sparse. The only thing I walked out of the store with was a Limbsaver recoil pad. Just tragic.

Well, I guess you're right, from the subsequent comments... it's doesn't look like a regular annual inventory reduction.

And no offense, but I still sure wish people were, at least sorta, slightly, more specific about their location when giving out information. No GPS coordinates or anything, just an idea as to whether you're in the Western Hemisphere or not.

Could be helpful, ya know?

Terry, 230RN

I've been quietly stalking the S/W in Aurora, CO (Off of Alameda) and occasionally they have some stuff.

They get their shipments in on Friday, btw...atleast that's what the counter guy said. Last Friday I picked up some BL-C(2) (last can) and HP-38 (Last Can)...but there really wasn't anything else.

Haha, I guess I'll know who's on THR from Colorado when I go there at noon on Friday...kicking myself for letting the word out, but hey, gotta help a brother out!

Our SW in southeast Washington is nearly empty. The staff behind the counter say they just aren't able to keep anything in stock since the panic.
