I was looking to set up two rifles, one for mid to long range shooting that would not shoot a very high volume and one set up to closer range shooting with higher volume.
So I chose a stainless match barrel from Daniel Defense in .223 Wylde for the first and a Colt HBAR chrome lined barrel in 5.56NATO for the second.

I just finished them getting the EOTech and the accessories yesterday. I think they turned out very well, let me know what you guys think.

very nice!!!

dont take this the wrong way but i would have gone for an 18" barrel on the spr or maybe a 20" but then again i am in love with my cmmg 18" SPR so i might be a little impartial

I will have to weigh the SPR and see...

I mush prefer the balance and feel on the 16" bbl. There is absolutely no difference in accuracy potential, and there is so little velocity loss that the extra 2" are inconsequential.

Looking good.

To be precise, the Mk12 SPR has an 18" barrel and a 3-9x scope with external knobs. Your precision 16" is more like the "Recce" concept. There is a role for a 3-9x "SPR" scope, and that is to provide enough precision to take full advantage of the 556 cartridge. A low-power BDC scope is really the DMR role; it is good for large targets to medium distances. In any case, an accurate 16" really can "do it all"-- the role differentiator comes down to optics.

If I am not mistaken, the Daniel Defense SPR is also a midlength isn't it? And the Colt is a carbine?

I think you'll like the Daniel Defense SPR. My favorite AR isn't too far off of what you built.

You are right the DD is mid-length and the Colt has a carbine length gas system. It Doesn't really matter I would have been happy if they were both Carbine length or both mid length.

I got carried away today when I picked up the new LMT lower and ended up with 2,000 of ammo and a Leica Rangemaster...
