Spring/Summer Carry? Missing My LCPII ☹️

With spring and summer coming, I am wondering if I made a mistake by trading off my LCPII.
I really like carrying a j frame 38 airweight. But once and a while the LCPII made sense. On really hot days and with lightweight shorts.

What would you recommend for a lightweight extra small carry when you really want to carry a micro micro because your melting

For me, the Glock G36 in a suede IWB holster is a 4-Season carry.

Also have a "trunks and tuxedo" carry in an identical rig - a Sig P938.

No complaints.

For me it would be a change of pants. To light weight cargo pants (surprisingly cool) and carry whatever full size gun you normally would.

LCP IIs are dirt cheap these days due to everyone wanting a LCP Max. Heck, I just purchased a used LCP II .22LR for $220 out the door.

Yeah - you could get another one for not too much, new or used.

I have a couple of the Gen 2 LCPs around for when a J-frame is too bulky. They have their role.

I agree, you could buy a used one and be back where you are comfortable with your ccw again.

I recently bought a second LCP simply to have a spare in my collection. My original is 8 years old with over 6k rounds through it, the receiver is starting to wear out. There is nothing better when you need a deep concealment pocket pistol.

I just change my shirts from long sleeve to short and ditch the fleece and sweatshirts. Same gun, every day, year round.

I have so many guns I could carry but when shorts and T shirt are the norm it is hard to conceal much else.

That is hardly a step in the direction the OP asked about, given he starts with J-frame and is looking at LCP II class. I'd go back to another LCP, pick the type you want.

I live in Colorado. It's currently 44° out.

Somebody already said it but I wear the same basic outfit all year long. In the winter I wear waffle tops under it and a fleece over it and in the summer I don't.

I'm really not a Micro Nine kind of guy but I think the smallest gun I'd be comfortable with is a 1st generation M&P Shield.

I live in a High Plains Desert, it almost never rains here. So I can get away with cotton most of the year.

If I lived in a humid climate like Minnesota I'd consider some Tech Wear designed to wick sweat for a cover garment.

I pocket carry a LCP II or a LC9s most of the time when I'm in sweats going to the local stop 'n rob for a gallon of milk at 2am. The LCP II is the perfect little gun for that. Flat, not too heavy, compact, and good enough for the intended duty. Also, LCP IIs are dirt cheap right now. Dealers can't give 'em away since everyone wants a LCP Max or a micro-compact 9mm.

OP should just find a used one and haggle for the cheapest price possible.

Use to be making a late night run for something I would just pick up one of a half dozen or more Beretta Jetfires I had, (a slight exaggeration it was more like two or three; it just seemed that way seeing how relatively inexpensive they were) drop it in a pocket and away I'd go. Things were so much simpler back then.

.Nowadays an LCP MAX and/or a KelTec P3AT are about the smallest I'm going to go as far as warmer weather attire and CCW are concerned.

I will carry a different handgun with different attire. My two main carries are a S&W 442 & Kimber Mako R7 9mm.

Yeah, but when the wind picks up, the gun easily prints thru the lightweight fabric and you're not as "concealed" as you think you are.

I pocket carried in shorts when I lived in Titusville.

I wear the shirts I wore for work in the summer as an optician, loose fitting, light plaid/ checker print short sleeve button down shirts. I wear a Duluth long tail T underneath them sometimes tucked, sometimes untucked. For pants, the stretch Firehose Duluth cargos, both long and short and sometimes jeans.

Any micro single stack 380 auto should do.

My choice is the S&W Bodyguard 380, but there are others the same size.

Carries so easy I truly forget its there, so I always carry it, every day.

Actually, as a 9mm, it is a pistol that exceeds his specs.

Consider micro .380 ACP's sub-optimal for defensive work.

Sometimes a micro 380 is all I have room for.

The LCPII is my favorite.

I got a Kahr that I want to compare it to on my next range visit, though.
