I live in a residential neighborhood as witnessed by:
Our game commission laws supercede local laws and ordinances so even communities outlawing discharge of firearms cannot do anything as long as you are legally outside of safety zones, use proper firearms ( shotgun only & archery for deer in my county) and it's best to get written permission from owners to hunt their land.
I had permission to hunt 3 acres (now posted) about 500 yds behind my house and have taken quite a few deer there. This is across the valley. This land was a farm and will soon be an upper scale housing development. Luckily, the hillside these birds were on is too steep so my view will remain the same. The 2 deer looking back are watching my wife unload groceries about 15 yds away.
Last years pic. By the way, I don't hunt turkeys. If I did, I'd probably never get another pic.
Every time I go to a bad dove shoot, I notice that all the doves are on the telephone wires in people's yards. I see turkeys in front yards coming back from a bust of a turkey hunt.
MURPHY'S LAW has no exceptions.
They actually use the same word for about any type of guinea fowl or similar, I suppose rather like the English words deer, goat, or antelope are used to refer to a very wide variety of loosely related ungulates.
