Springfield ARmory 1911 wait list?

I just called a local gun store to check on price and availabilty of a Springfield Armory 1911 loaded in 9mm (PX9130LP) They gave me a price of 890.00 and said I should expect to wait a least a few months. They stated that any springfield in a 1911 is at least a months wait. Anyone else hear anything about Springfield being this far behind on orders?

Bud's has the PX9130LP listed as a special order, but if you really want one...

I see someone beat me to it. Bud's is popular for good reason. Their prices are hard to beat. Well worth the 80 mile drive for me most of the time.

Bud's is the best gunstore on the net. I bought a Ruger GP100 from them just 2 weeks ago.

As for the Springfield 1911's, each model is manufactured in batches by Imbel and imported by SA. When a particular models runs out at stores, there's nothing you can do but wait for the next batch to be imported. Or buy a different model. Or buy a used one if you can find one.

I was checking on this for a friend of mine. I will point him to Bud's. He will have to contact them about the transfer and fees, etc. because he lives in NJ so I know he would have to go through a lot of paperwork.

Actually, he needs to contact an FFL holder in his state to arrange the transfer, not Bud's. Bud's website has a list of FFL's whose license they have on file. The FFL agent will have to send a copy of his FFL license to Bud's if they don't already have it on file. On-line gun buying is a bit of a hassle, but the savings and better selection can make it worthwhile.

I know for a while that the 5" MIL SPEC's in either parkerized or stainless
was very hard too come by; finally we got a couple in, exactly one with
the parkerized finish and the other one in stainless. We sell the park'ed
model for $549.88 everyday~!

Just heard my Taurus Raging Bull 454 Casull I ordered from Buds came in today from my FFL guy. Can't wait till he gets off of work.
