I have been struggling with failures to feed in my new 380 911 Alpha. I had read all the speculation on chamber size, extractor issues etc. The other Saturday I found a box of Magtech and said what the heck let me test it with this. It shot fine with no failures whatsoever. Well, I thought that maybe I had OAL issues so I reduced the OAL with my reloads to match the Magtech. No difference. Still had feeding problems.

Finally I measured the rim. Any rim that was wider than .044 inches would not feed. The extractor was clamping too tight on the thicker rims. So, I went thru and measured 25 reloads that had rims less than .044. All of them fed perfectly this past Saturday.

Now I need to loosen the extractor up some to be more flexible with across the board ammo.

I had not seen anybody mentioning rim thickness as the issue with this feeding problem. So, anybody having failure to feed with the 911 please check the rim and see if that is your problem.
