Springfield Champion recoil spring assembly question

Does the recoil spring assembly on the Champion disassemble?
How often does this need to be changed?
Can you buy the entire assembly? I can't find it.

Haven't had my champion for a while, but doesn't the guide rod assembly just unscrew? I'd call up SA, they'll get you sorted.
