springfield double barrel 12ga.

I just purchased an old springfield double barrell 12ga. It is a side by side and is in good condition. The only markings i found are the Springfield Arms Company, Chicopeefalls Mass. usa and proof tested 12ga. stamped on the top of left hand barrell. What is the history and avgerage value.
