I have an itch for a 1911 but cannot decide between these 2 models. The Loaded Black Stainless or the Mil-spec stainless. Both look absolutely beautiful and seem rock solid. Anyone have any info on which one I should go for? What's a reasonable street price for these models? Any issues with the Black finish? Which one would you pick and why?

I picked the blackened stainless for aesthetic reasons, as well as the presence of a beavertail. However, it is my understanding that the barrels on the loaded series are of a generally higher quality, but I forget particularly how.

have a loaded. have a mil-spec. the adjustable trigger and sights are no contest. get the loaded.

I voted for the loaded, not a big fan of that particular finish option, but to each his own.

The upgrades you get from the loaded are more than worth the $2-300 dollar price difference.

Depending on your local market I would say $5-600 for the milspec and $7-800 for the loaded would be fair prices.
