Need the real scoop on the Springfield Sub Compact series in 9MM. How do they compare with Glock 26? They look very similar to me, thinking about buying. Which way should I go?

I think the G26 is a little lighter and the finish might be tougher.

The Xd has a better trigger and you can mount a light on it.

I had a G27 and have an XD9 sub comp now that I've carried for 6 years. It's a reliable gun and it shoots very well. I don't know how many rounds I have through mine now but it's never missed a beat.

I would recommend it.

I went with the XD 9sc. The real reason was that it was a much better fit for my hand. It's been absolutely reliable through probably 15k rounds and I have zero complaints.

I like that the flush fit magazine holds 13 rounds and it ships with a grip-extending 16rd magazine as well. At least the last time I looked the 26 came with 10rd mags. That may have changed though.

I don't think you can go wrong either way. Feel them both & shoot them both if possible.

Truth is both of them are great guns . I own the XDSC in 40 and it's a winner . very concealable and hasn't had an issue yet , with just around 8 thousand rounds through it . I don't own the Glock 26. so I can't give you educated advice on it . but ... It's a GLOCK. I have extensive experience with the 19 and 23 and have found them to be tough as nails. I went with the XD based on it's grip angle.

Thanks for the input, I think the G26 might be my best bet. The LE/Military program Glock has is substantial. The spec's are impressive. I think both guns are strong.

I had a Glock 27 I carried for many years. Same size as the G26. The G26 is slightly smaller than the XD9sc. It also gives up 3 rounds to the XD9sc. I like the trigger and grip on the XD better. Glock is a simpler design. Has tons of spare parts. Both good guns. At the end of the day it comes down to personal choice. I prefer the XD9sc. But wouldn't turn down a G26.

On 1-15 of this year, I bought a Glock 26. Very accurate weapon. The only downfall to me was a "Hump" on the backstrap of the grip. I traded it in on a XD9sc on 5-12. For me... it was the best move I ever made. The grip on the XDsc is way better for me and the trigger is alot more to my liking. Accuracy is fantastic.
