Morning all. I am considering a few different .45s for centerfire bullseye. Locally have found a new Springfield TRP; a Colt Gold Cup Series 80 National Match; and lots of Kimber choices....Handling them Thursday. All within budget.
Any thoughts/ideas? Thanks in advance.

A friend of mine competed frequently in Bullseye matches in the past. His normal recommendation is to buy a base model Springfield Armory (Mil Spec, Loaded, etc) or Colt (70 or 80 series) 1911. Then send it to a competent Gunsmith that has experience in building Bullseye guns. He likes to use Dave Salyer. I have seen Dave's work and it is top notch.

I have heard others say that the best Bullseye gunsmiths are Bullseye competitors themselves.

I'd say Jerry Keefer and Joe Chambers are the two best period. I believe Mr. Keefer no longer accepts work due to a backlog and Mr. Chambers' wait time is hovering around 48 months. David Sams would be one to check, not sure on wait time.

Thing about bullseye, if you have a price range, you may want to reconsider. Not the sort of sport ideally suited to most out of the box 1911s. You might take a gander at Les Baer, not sure if he offers one set up but it might be your least expensive option.
