I recently bought a used Springfield Ultra Compact. It is in really good condition but it seems to have trouble feeding hollow point ammo. Any ideal how to remedy this problem. What is the going price on one of these handguns. Stainless steel, novak night sights, hogue wrap-around grips, 3.5 inch barrel?

Well, a slight amount of feed ramp polishing might help (Step away from the Dremel, right now!).

Also, trying other types of ammo with a different ogive is a possibility.

I have an SA Ultra Compact, and while it has always fed OK it was a bit iffy in other respects prior to the installation of a full length guide rod.

Recognize that any 1911 shorter than Commander length is going to present some challenges. This is a matter of simple physics.

My wife asked me if I wanted a dremel or a gun. This is why I am posting this message I chose the gun :). Any ideal what a used one SA UC brings?
