I need help deciding on an RRA Std. A4 or an SPS Tactical in .308.
My purpose for these rifles will be target and hunting, and I'm not selling them later.
Reasons:
RRA Std. A4--To learn how to shoot better with iron sights (I will buy a detachable carry handle), and because I'm worried they'll get banned.
SPS Tactical in .308--To have a more handier rifle than my SPS-V also in .308, this rifle will have a Super Sniper 10x42mm scope on a (possibly) Remington MARS mount (because I think they look better/cooler than regular mounts with medium height rings), and I will posibly put a McMillian, H.S. Precision, or Bell and Carlson tactical stock to it if I don't like the Houge stock.
Both rifle will where some kind of paint on them, just incase you wanted to
know.
Estimated cost
RRA Std. A4-- $1100 with their carry handle
SPS Tactical-- $600 (base) + Remington MARS ($450-$500), Harris Bipod ($120), Super Sniper scope ($450), scope rings ($50-$120)= about $1700 without another stock.
So the RRA Std. A4 is cheaper (good for me) but I've always wanted the SPS tactical since I bought my SPS-V (HS stock on the way), and the only baisic reason I want an RRA STD. A4 is for the iron sights.
Is there a way I can JUST order the SPS-T barreled action from Remington?
Or would it be more profitable to just learn how to shoot better with a .22 like a Savage MkII, and just make the 100 yard targets itty-bity so it's like aiming at 600 yards?
Please help me out
