My situation: Have a 9mm FMJ TulAmmo round that was a squib (looks like it had no powder but primer ignition - stuck round 1 inch into the chamber end of the barrel.

Questions:

1. Should I drive the round "backward" the one inch or push it the full length of the barrel?

2. What/how should I use to "push" the round?

This is my first squib ever but the 4th I have seen in 2 weeks. 3 involved Russian ammo and 1 was a 20 year old reload.

Drive the bullet back with a brass rod, the largest available that will fit down the bore. Do NOT use a wooden dowel.

Problem solved :)

Used an oversized BRASS ramrod from my 3 band Enfield rifle musket. It fit inside the 9mm barrel with room to spare. Simply tapped it out in 2-3 firm hits.

I have never had a sqib with my reloads but have witnessed 3 w/ Russian TulAmmo in 9mm this month!:cuss:

Thanks for your help!
