I finally had enough of a break in a busy work schedule to take my first shots with my long anticipated Ruger SR 1911. As I said a week or so ago, the fit and finish are excellent. I have spent some time familiarizing myself with the weapon and today was range day.
I fired 200 rounds of 230 grain WWB FMJ. No failures of any kind. Every shot cycled perfectly. Considering that this is my first outing with the platform, I can certainly admit that I need some practice but, all in all, I don't think I did too badly. The target pictured is just from a normal two handed grip at 25 feet.
My next pictures will be better, I hope. I am more than satisfied with my new pistol. It was worth the wait.
Ok, the picture was pretty bad. I will re-post it shortly
