When they come out with a bobtailed version of the lightweight, I'm going to be a total sucker for it. It'll also be very bad news for the bobtailed S&W 1911Sc.

I'd love a bobtailed officer model, or even a bobtailed officer frame with a commander slide.

A decent overall review with a clear concise narrative and good video. Nice to know about the titanium feed ramp insert and really liked the look of the double diamond grips with the Ruger medallion on them.

I've busted up my elbow enough that holding a 40 Oz pistol out in front of me with one hand makes my arm scream. Sadly, I've given up my 5" 1911 because of it

No problem! I'm sorry about your elbow, it's nice that we have different choices for different needs.

I hate elongated grip safeties. They make concealment that much harder.

For me, this would be a comfortable to open carry gun. It could be carried concealed, but for me an m&p shield works better for that.

Bobtail officer size? Not sure I see the point of that as the grip is already quite short. Love the bobtail on commander 1911s.

Check out the Springfield R.O. compact line... Officer grip with 4" slide. About to order one in 9mm.

Bobbed officer would be even more concealable. I say why not!
