Hello all. Looking for a Gunsmith in the St.Louis area. Does anyone know if OttoComp is still working? Any opinions about who could perform some work on a few weapons? Thank You.

For those of you in Missouri, Illinois or anywhere in Mid-America, Otto Mataska of OttoComp in Afton, MO is an outstanding gunsmith. Very Old School. He does excellent work at a fair price. His shop is a throw back to the 50's. Filled with lathes, drill presses and metal working tools.
He diagnosed my revolver issue in minutes and had to manufacture the broken part, as their are not replacement parts available for my early 80's Tuarus 96 in .22 LR.
He's worked on my 1911 and Sig-Sauer P220. They both have the finest triggers I have in a weapon. His forte really is 1911's and their ilk. If you call him and/or go see him, expect a real treat!
