Sorry, but now I see that I probably came across a bit harsh. I didn't mean to be.
Since all new firearm purchases go through dealers (01FFL), you are going to have to find one that either (1) handles Stag Rifles or (2) find a FFL that will bring one in for you. I have a friend that is an 01, and he ordered in a Stag for a customer, and it took about 5 weeks. That was back in January this year.

it is when you have a friend who works for surefire. i just got my stag upper yesterday! and only paid $480 for it

Only if they have received payment, and it has been manufactured before whatever date is specified in the legislation. Otherwise, nope. When attempting to purchase a rifle from LMT, they stated that they wouldn't charge the credit card until the rifle shipped. FYI

Where are you located at, 417guns in Springfield MO just got a big shipment of them in and have great prices on them. I am sure they would ship to an ffl anywhere you want. I have bought a number of guns from them over the years and they great people to work with. Google them at 417guns.com.
