For some time I have had a 7 1/2" Blackhawk in .45 Colt with Sambar stag grips. I am sure most of you have seen the picture of it with the deer skull and my Gerber stag Bowie.
Recently I saw a set of Sambar Blackhawk grips for sale on E-bay with excellent markings. Some where in the back of my mind I had always had a smoldering desire to own a matched set of sixguns with Sambar stag grips. Long story short I bought the grips and soon after I picked out a 4 5/8" convertable Blackhawk in .45 Colt/.45 ACP. My idea was a set of sixguns and a rig that I could carry the longer barrel vertical strong side and the shorter barrel cross draw. I am hoping to pick out some nice leather soon.
Over the past two days I have been grinding, sanding, steel wool, polishing and fitting Sambar stag grip panels. As of this evening the grips look as if they grew on the Blackhawk handles. They look and feel fantastic. I just laid both weapons on a clean towel to gaze at them while I relax.
I feel a stag photo shoot coming on.

:D

Can't wait for the pictures.

On a personal note, I strongly prefer the longer-barrelled piece on the crossdraw side, and the shortie on my right.

'Bout Time ROS! ;)

You know I've been using that smaller pic of your SBH on those antlers for over a year. Please save some bigger pics of this next shoot. :D

They sound great, time to get into Cowboy Action Shooting! Have fun, lookin' forward to them new pics.

OK bad light and rushed for time, not wallpaper material but here they are. I am as proud as a puppy with two peters.
