I like what you posted, 10mm Mike. Not quite as shiny as what I'm looking for, but we're definitely getting there and I wouldn't be disappointed if that receiver was mine!

stainless

Stainless U/L were available for a while, advertised in SGN in 70s or early 80s.
Must not have been much interest or they would still be around.
Never laid eyes on either but remember the SGN ads.

Buy a gun and have it hydro dipped. The camo patterns are the most common, but I'm sure someone out there can do some sort of silvery finish that would look similar to either stainless or hard chrome. You may also find something more interesting than just a stainless finish as well.

This shouldn't be too hard to accomplish, especially since you said you'refine with waiting until tge unrest dies down. I'd contact a small machine shop with a good reputation of making quaility lowers (I'll use JD Machine for example), and tell tgem what you want to do. Have them CNC the lower and upper but not adonize it. Ship to your FFL then take it to a local shop for the finish you want. Some custom paint car shops might be able to steer you in the right direction.

Heck, try calling a few small firearm manufactuers to see how they recommend you proceed for a shiny finish. I bet you get some great answers.

I apologize for any spelling/grammar errors, I'm typing from my phone.

I’m kinda wishing that I had my own gun manufacturing company and the spare money to build these sorts of things. The world would be a much more interesting place if I could bring the things in my head out into real life….

Unfortunately if there is no market for what you make you will be out of business.

Nice and shiny, blaisenguns. The wrong color for me though, however I find it interesting to note that the receiver is anodized. I wonder how tough and costly it would be to have a receiver anodized silver? I've also seen shiny anodized aluminum grips for the Ruger MkIII pistol. How durable is that kind of finish compared to plating it with something like chrome or nickel?

contact Wally at York arms he does a lot of custom stuff like this he might be interested. He just did an AR with an Octagonal barrel that looks pretty amazing.
