I may be receiving a HiPower from a relative. He says it is a Belgian made 9mm HiPower. From what he tells me, I believe it is the Browning Mark III model. He tells me that it is a stainless steel frame and slide, with the molded relief grips, which have Browning medallions in them.

I cannot find anything online about stainless steel HiPowers. I do remember seeing a picture of a Mark III with the medallion inlayed grips, but I don't remember the site.
He said he thinks it is a 1996 model, if that helps

He lives about 700 miles away from me, so I can't just walk to his house to look at it. I will not be seeing him for another two months, and I just wanted a heads up on what he's bringing.

Thanks for any help anybody has.

Not all Hi-Powers bear the Browning mark. Some are actually stamped by their true manufacturer: FN Herstal.

I do not know of any FN Hi-Powers made in stainless steel though. Probably a nickel plate.

FN has never made a stainless-steel Hi Power (Wish fnhipower.com was still around, many discussions about this on there), although they have made many nickel and chrome finished models.

FEG has allegedly made a stainless steel PJK-9HP (have a pic around here somewhere), as well as a no-longer-existing US company, the name of which I don't remember. So it's possibly either Browning or Stainless, but not both. :)
