Stand repair.

Went out back and pulled my ladder stand last week. The squirrels have been chewing on the plywood platform so I'll need to replace that before next season.
Any ideas on the best paint to use to protect/camo the new plywood?

Use PT plywood and it will last a long time even without paint.

May even reduce the squirrel population if you can find the old stuff.

Plywood gets sooo slick when it gets damp and frosty.
Check out some decking boards like trex or other manmade composites. It will be the last time your replace the floor.
Squirrels may sample the corners, but they wont devour it like salt treated plywood.

Built replacement seats using pressure treated plywood wrapped with rubber roofing. Holds up well under all weather conditions and doesn't absorb moisture.

I'd second Armored Farmers idea of using composite decking material.

If you paint it add some coarse sand to the paint for added traction on the wood you will be standing on.

I totally agree. My dad painted or front porch when I was 11. I can't count how many times I slipped when it was raining.

I used to do this on boat deck paint- worked like a charm! Worked especially well on an aluminum bass boat I once had too!

I've found this to work well on wood stands. Extends the life of the wood and give a non-slip surface. Kinda pricey but one can will do several wooden platform

Spray it with bed liner for trucks. Weatherproof, good traction, and it probably won't taste good to animals.
