A Star Model FR Sport .22 LR came into my possession today. It is in NRA fine condition, has the original box (although the box is bedraggled) and the owner's manual. The slide is marked with the Star logo etc. and the frame is marked Garcia Sporting Arms, Wash, D.C.

I shot a couple of boxes of ammo through it and except for one failure to feed, it performed flawlessly, although it seems to shoot a little high.

Any opinions/experiences regarding the gun are welcome including resale value.

Thanks.

HAVE HAD ONE OF THESE FOR 30+ YEARS. AIN'T WORTH MUCH, MAYBE

150 TO 200 BUCKS.
Have put a new front sight on mine and an MMC rear sight. Also made a set of American Black Walnut stocks for it.
Since '72 or so I have put over 7000 rounds through it. The slide stop quit working, no other problems.
