Star Model B 9mm pros & cons?

I have a couple of them and I like them. While parts might be hard to find when it quits I'll take it to my gunsmith and he can make parts.
 
Good luck finding a gunsmith to make a new magazine. Anybody out there know if 1911 mags can be modified to work in a star?
