StarBM Magazine Mod

I purchased a StarBM some time ago with two magazines. Unfortunately the magazines were well worn and I kept having problems with them. It may be used, but I love it nonetheless.

Recently, I purchased two MEC-GAR Sig 225 magazines and modified them to work on my STAR BM following the Youtube video how-to. It's fairly easy and straightforward.

The new magazines lock and look like they will work perfectly. The only issue I have is the magazine not sliding out when ejecting the magazine.

Does anyone know how to alleviate this problem so the magazine quickly ejects, or will that just require time and use?

I can’t answer your question, but thanks for the info. I love my Star and have paid a lot of money over the years picking up Star mags here and there. Some worked, some did not.

I had started looking for magazines, but only found NEW ones on eBay- expensive. Then I started researching and discovered they don't make them anymore.

I continued my search and stumbled upon a forum where a StarBM owner explained the mod. Which led me to YouTube.

The StarBM is a great fun for the money. I especially like the fact that it's not polymer which gives it good weight. She's not the prettiest gun in my safe, but she's got character.
