What is a good grain weight to start at for a 30-06 with a 1:10 twist? I'm either going with Nosler Partition's or Hornady Interbond's or Sierra Gameking's. I'm wanting a bullet that will mushroom and stay together.

If for deer hunting or similar sized game, you can't go wrong for a 150 gr Nosler partion bullet and once fired cases. That's what i use in my old Remington 700BDL 30-06 rifle.

What are you hunting?
165 grain for deer, 180 grain for deer, elk and bear or most anything else. A 200 grain is over kill and not needed on this continent.
Sierra, Nosler Ballistic Tip, Speer, are good as well as most others.
The 06 has killed every game animal on the North American Continent at some time or other.
Us old timers seem to like 180's for everything, they have better SD, BC and the difference in delivery time is minimal, however, recoil is somewhat greater and downrange impact is also greater.

Thanks for the replies. I'm loading them for Deer. I went with the 150 gr. GameKing cause thats what was readily available. Thanks again!
