6mm Rem.
I have plenty of 75 gr sierras and SR4759.
I'd like a starting load. Thanks

I've looked in all the usual places but haven't seen this combo.
I like reduced loads with SR4759 in my other calibers so thought I'd give this one a try.

From IMR Smokeless Powder Handloader's Guide, 05/2001.

6mm Remington - 100 grain Rem. PSP bullet, 23.5 grains SR 4759 powder, Rem. 9 1/2 primer, Remington case. COL 2.735". MV 2,400 fps in 22" test barrel. MAP 51,600 CUP.

6mm Remington - 80 gr PSP - 24.5 grains SR 4759 powder - Rem 9 1/2 primer - Rem case - COL 2.790" - MV 2,640 fps in 22 barrel MAP is 50,600.

Don't shoot your eye out by reducing more then 10% off listed max loads.

Thanks,
I've seen the 100 gr load but not the other. It seems fairly stiff. I've been using a much lighter load from Speer #10 with a 30-06 and 130 gr bullet.
They are sure pleasant to shoot.

Yea, but a 6mm Rem is way over-bore compared to a 30-06.

I would proceed with caution if reducing those loads more then 10% in an over-bore caliber.
