OK,I presently have gun stashed around the house, hidden from view, but accessable. My question is this:We rented out our M-I-L apartment(it's connected to our house ,but not accessable)they move in the end of the month, should I lock the guns up except for when I'm home?I have them mostly for my wife as I carry all the time anyway.I trust these people,or I wouldn't have rented to them, but I truly don't "know"them.

If they do not have access to your residence then I would not worry about it.

I would NOT let them know that you have them hidden around the house.

I'd lock them up - interior walls are easily breached.

You might trust them but what about their friends?

I have noticed that many times when a home is burgled that is a a friend of a friend that visited once or your friend told him about your nice collection. The friend of a friend uaually does not know you well enough to face you after the theft but can "hear" about it through his friend.

Thiefs like to go into homes where they feel comfortable and being inside a place once or twice already or having information about when the occupants are not home makes them feel that way.

Out of sight out of mind T. Just don't hide in obvious places. I've been thinking about getting one of those clocks, with a space inside for a gun, I would think the average burglar wouldn't notice such a thing. I just wouldn't share with the tenants that you have guns, guns are evil after all ain't they. ;)

Yeah, the only way they're gonna know I have guns is if they're late with the rent;)
The woman's a real animal lover(not PETA or anything)so I guess the squirrel hunting is over...we'll see just how much she loves animals when she sees some of the snakes that live under our back porch:uhoh:
