I'm starting to think that the only solution is that proposed by Ripley in Aliens. You got a better idea?

If our country would WAKE UP and remember that we used to have a "pair", we'd roll heads in Mexico. Their government has no control over anything, the violence is spilling into our country, and the illegals are flooding in and demanding rights. Maybe Congress should quit their squabbling over healthcare, and start a war on the Cartels. And no, I don't mean another little wimpy "campaign" from the 1980s. We need tanks going over the border, gunsmoke in the air, and corpses on the ground. It sickens me that we have the ability to stomp this out mercilessly, yet we don't do anything. We sit at the border and wait for it to cross the fence. That's treating a symptom, not attacking the cause.

I'm sure the mexican government would never agree to such a strategy. That's fine. They're either part of the solution or part of the problem. I'm sure they'll make the right choice when the feces hit the fan and not their crops or water supply.

The US will never do diddly about it as long as American businesses are heavily vested across the border. Billions of dollars stomp a few hundred dead Americans, and anyone who tells you different must be a fool or living in a parallel universe. Close the border? Yeah the US could seal it in months if we really wanted to, but that illegal immigrant cheap labor is a drug our country is hopelessly hooked on. Seriously; A whole lot of noise will be made in Washington to appease the citizenry, but no real action will ever be taken. No I am not referring to Democrats, I am referring to republicans too and everything in between that calls itself political. Dollars and corporations own America not the cool-aide drinking citizens.

Ya its out of control there, I wouldn't step foot near the place. I watched a show I think it was dateline or maybe 48 hours about a family that were camping down near Cabo and they were kidnapped and held for days, they ended up getting away unhurt, there was speculation they did something to the wife and daughter but they all lived either way. They stole all their money and their truck and trailer.
Its sad, there is basically no law down there.
