Hello, everybody!

It's been a while since I last posted but I went off to join the military and am currently in tech school and my first duty base will be Andersen AFB, Guam.

I have been doing some research and it looks like I will be able to take my firearms with me (I will only take a couple), but my question is whether or not an AR-15 would be legal there.

This question isn't about how to keep guns on base or anything like that (keeping them on base is a different matter for another day, and has been discussed before). I'm only wanting to know if I can own an AR-15 in Guam, since local gun laws will apply. I already know I will have to declare and register them upon arriving as well as getting an ID card for ownership.

The Guam gun laws are here: http://www.nraila.org/GunLaws/State/State.aspx?st=gu

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't see any mention of semi-automatic or high capacity mags. Any help? Thanks.

I lived there 1959-1966...it was a great place to enjoy my teen years.
Am not sure the local govt is gun friendly. Check where to store your
guns on base, regulations and all that. High humidity, warm temps
salt air are all hard on guns. Where would you shooot ? Check to see
if the base or even the Navy bases have an available range. If you
are prone to get into the ocean, scuba diving is real big there.
