Friend of mine inherited a old looking Sterling .25 auto.
I looks to be in sound condition. It is brown/copper color I suspect because all the blueing is gone (I think)
My friend tried to field strip it and some part went flying. I looks like he is missing both the firing pin spring and firing pin guide.
Questions for the Team
Is the firing pin spring and guide uncaptured or was there something wrong with it to cause it to fling into neverland? Could there have been anything else that could of gone flying?
In trying to find replacement parts Numrich lists a "Sterling 300"...is that the same model as the 25 Auto?
Writing on the side says "E and R Inc"..."Gasport NY".
Serial Number 0230XX...anyone have any info on this or an approximation of its age or general worth?
Location of a manual or schematic online would be very helpful.
The previous owner said about it accuracy.."When you aim it at the floor, you only hit it half the time"
I told him the crew at THR will be able to help him out with the info...THANKS!
