I posted a question on this forum awhile ago, trying to get some advice on locating 3/8" dovetail scope bases for a Unertl. Mr. Watson suggested I contact Mr. Steve Earle, which I did.
Mr. Earle responded to my voicemail sameday, we went over the measurements in detail (he had to measure and drill one of the bases to fit my receiver) and he got my bases in the mail the next morning (Fri.) I had them in my hand Monday afternoon - He charged me $10 per base, $2 for the screws, and $2 shipping (MA to TX!). No charge for drilling the extra hole. He clearly doesn't just churn out these bases, the workmanship and attention to detail was obvious. If I had had any problem, I feel confident he would have worked with me to get it right.
Anyway, he doesn't have a website yet, but I wanted to post my experience and his address, in case anyone else on this forum was hunting for hard-to-find bases...
