This is my only bolt gun I use it for anything from deer to crows to 300 yard coyote hunting. I can’t stand the looks of synthetic stocks, specially stevens flimsy factory stock.
Where can I get nice wooden stock for stevens 200 short action? Looked all over google and can’t find stock to fit my rifle. Every site that has savage stocks only got 4.275 stocks and one I have is 4.4.
Also what you guys think about pac-nor? I want to get one of their barrels but with all the options my had is spinning. I’m set on 26 inch long tube in 1-7 twist but how many grooves?

If I remember correctly, the savage 110 stocks will work. Used one on GB or new from somewhere like Boyds.

I am in the process of doing the below work on my Stevens 200 centerfeed 223. Instead of using a 1/4" square rod down the center, I used 2 1/8" rods (one on each side of the center line). It's about the 5th post in the below link. There are also some ideas on painting the stock.

Here is another option about painting the stock. I'm going to try this one as I just want a matte black finish.

Hope you find it interesting.

Give Stocky's a try. Here's the search results for "Stevens 200". http://www.stockysstocks.com/servlet/Categories Give them a call about specifics ie. magwell design to insure compatibility. I bought a stock from them for my M700 a few months ago and plan to buy a Tundra Deluxe for my M70 after the holidays. The T.D. is a laminate but is also available in solid walnut and at $145 I think it's a stone cold bargain.

If you don't mind installing your own swivel studs and you don't need a "deluxe" recoil pad (I'll assume no to the latter for .223) the Tundra Classic is $108 for the same stock sans the above 2 "upgrades".

Good luck fellow Jeeper.

I looked around on their site and only found stocks to fit older short acton 4.25 savage. I guess I can give them a call monday to see if they have them for 4.4 inch
