Sometimes the Lord is kind
This week I managed to luck into a .410 Stevens 311 at a local retailer. The price was high but fair so I decided to upgrade the .410 311 I've already got to this one.
The metal and wood fit and finish on this gun are just fantastic, more reminiscent of a nice mid grade double than what I'm used to seeing on a Stevens or other field grade double.
I'm specifically interested in the nice walnut stock on this shotgun. Can anyone tell me if this might be a factory original or was it built and added to the gun later in its service life?
Very interested in what those in the know have to say
