Stevens Favorite Takdown .22

Does anyone have any experience with the current made Stevens Favorite TD .22? Specifically what is the quality of the fit and finish, how is the trigger, and how is the accuracy? Are they worth the $300 price?

I had one as a kid and loved it. Great backpacking rifle and very handy. I want to get another and would prefer new, I am just wondering how good the new ones are.

i have the solid frame 30gm in 22mag. it is crazy accurate; iron sights rested right at 1" at 50 yards. the only thing i dont like about it is its a pain to carry becuase the short OAL makes a sling impractical... but the takedown version im sure would solve that.

also had some light wear around the falling-block, but not bad. the wood wasnt sealed at all; and i putt several coats of tru-oil on it; looks better and is somewhat sealed now.

i paid under 200 new about 5-10years back; and it is deadly on squirrels! love it.

The fit and finish is great...not old wold european quality but excellent none the less.

As for accuracy, I have not shot one of the 'newer' ones, can't help there.
We sell them from time to time...never a return, or bad comment so far!

$300 is a really good price.....
