Steve's Pages are gone

I have been reading this caution about Steve and the warnings on other forums, at the same time I have been using Steve’s pages. On occasions I use Internet Options to clean a computer, every time I clean the computer I get a WARNING! when using Steve’s pages. Then my computer says ‘WARNING! then it says dealt with/taken care of. If I do not clean the computer the warning does not appear again, and that is what happens when cookies are used.

I can train a computer to run, I can not train someone to use one. I have friends that get AMBUSHED/HIJACKED, it always starts with clicking on and approving changes without knowing the author/publisher. When the computer is ambushed by approval the problem does not show up as a virus. My advise when asked “are your sure you want to allow ‘blank’ to make changes to your computer?” the answer should always be “NO!”

I sent information to Windows/Microsoft, they responded with “We have seen that before”. It was a program that presented itself as a virus but was in fact a program the owner of the computer downloaded thinking ‘it was free’, they downloaded the program for free, they (the publisher/author) wanted money to remove the program.

Just a note to let you know that I did not receive any errors/warnings going to Steve's pages today. However, I did not go to all the pages, just a few as a test. It appears he is off list now. Let us know if you find differently.

I just did a Google search and the warning on the page links is now gone.

The page works fine for me. But our computer has probably been infected so many times that it has a high tolerance by now!
