Below is the barrel of my Steyr M9. I have probably 6-700 rounds through it.
The first few times I shot it, I only cleaned the barrel with G96.
Today, I used Butch's Bore Shine and a brass brush. I did 5 sets of patch/brush and the patches were still coming out black.
The marks start about 1/3 of the way down the tube and extend to the muzzle. Is that stuff in the picture some kind of fouling? Should I scrub more? Or less?
BTW, I have only shot FMJ or JHP thru this gun.
