I have the new Steyr M9 and it came with 2 15rd magazines (i think their 15)... Today I bought the older version of the Steyr M9 and it only came with 1 mag and its a 10 rounder :barf:

Are these magazines interchangeable? They both fit each other nice and smooth and they have a firm latch but i don't know if the actualy height or position of the ammo is correct. It looks good but im not sure.

I have a chance to jump on 10 Steyr M9 mags for sure for the new version but neither the seller or myself know it if works in the older version.

I don't need 10 mags for just that 1 gun, but if it fits and works in both then im gonna jump on the deal.

steyrclub forum is down so i thought i would try here

Thanks

Very cool... from your post and the small ammount of info out there, im gonna take the leap and grab the 10 mags.

10 mags for $150... can't beat that when they are selling for $23 a piece at CDNN.

You'll also find that the frame and slides from the M9 and M9A1 are fully interchangeable. The Steyr is a truly modular firearm.

Similar to glocks the uppers are all modular on the M and MA1 series with 9mm, .40s&w, .357sig. Check out steyrclub forums for more info on the pistols. Also i made some videos on it:)
