Mine is a good shooter. The trigger is nice but the break has a tiny amount of creep that gives it a weird feeling. Kind of like celery snapping. A tiny perceived deflection then a break. If that makes sense. The reset is nice and short. IMO the trigger is much better than anything on the majority of polymer factory guns. Mine is a PW arms import with a 2003 date on the inside of the frame. The new ones with the roll pin are supposed to be even better.
I love the trapezoid sights. It is really easy to tell if you have the sights misaligned which by itself makes the steyr a more accurate gun for me to shoot.
The bore axis looks really low on those pistols. How does that translate to percieved recoil?
Think of the pistol as a lever. A higher axis means more leverage.

Ummm, yeah I understand the concept man. Thats why i brought it up.…… almost 2 months ago. Which begs another question, why has this thread even been resurrected?

What I meant with that question is does the low bore axis actually result in more of a push than a muzzle flip that is noticeably different than other 9mm pistols? Or does it feel about the same as say, an XD. Does +p ammo enhance any difference?

That gets complicated across platforms with different barrel lengths, grips and weight distribution. In short a higher bore axis tends to flip you off target more. It is noticeable but you have to include other variables. The HK P7 for example tends to push into your hand because it has light slide and a gas sytem that sits below the bore and counteracts the slide velocity.

I was shooting some M882 which is noticeably hotter than WWB in my Steyr yesterday and it tended to push more than my PPQ which tended to flip more. A low bore axis is IMO preferable and noticeable but I really don't think that difference was mind blowingly better and still prefer my PPQ any day of the week.
