Steyr pistols out of US market

I just picked mine up... an M9-A1... monday along with an extra clip and two boxes of ammo for 460 out the door.... the thing shoots like a dream. I ,for one, like the sites. my only detraction is that I am used to shooting a 1911 and the angle difference will take some practice.. still better than a glock any day and as good as an xd or M&P for substantially less money...

Before all of the financial mess (a sale) happened with Steyr's parent company they retailed for just under $600. I paid $550 for my first one, a M40A1, and considered it a more than fair price for an excellent handgun. At $350 it is one of those steals that may well come to be legendary.

it is unfortunate that more people didnt catch on to the quality of these guns.. steyr handguns were pulled out of the US because the they were allowed to "sit on the shelf" how long are you going to leave a car on the corner with a FOR SALE sign before you try a different corner? I am glad i got mine.

Yeah, for $350 I'd strongly consider giving one of those orphans a good home. Well, a home.
